“It is important to look at things from God’s point of view” – 1 Corinthians 4:6 (MSG)
There’s people who’ve been praying for a long time so God would change certain things in their life. In fact, they’ve prayed for so long that their just about ready to given up. However, what I’ve learned in the last couples of years is that God may probably want to change your perspective about a problem and not necessarily the problem itself. Ponder on that for a moment…
A loss of perspective can leave us worried, anxious and exhausted. Negative thoughts are habit forming; thankfully so are positive ones. With practice, we can form a habit of fixing our eyes on God’s promises instead of our problems. When we do this, we soon discover that we will spend less time fretting about our problems and more time praising God for His promises and faithfulness. When we prayerfully seek God’s will and His perspective above our own we will experience how He guides our steps and priorities. We’ll experience how He calms our fears and anxious thoughts as He fills us with His peace and joy.
Above all that may seem impossible for us today, He’s still God and there’s no problem too big that He can’t handle. So we encourage you to rest in the Lord and ask Him to change your perspective so that you can see right through your unchanging matters. He’s on your side, today and forever.
Prayer: Father, I come to you for a change in perspective. I know that You are always in complete control and I know You will either change my circumstance or change me in order to see my situation differently. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
